I won't lie: since starting this blog back in September, it's been a lot of work. Taking the pictures, planning the outfits, finding the time. But it's been a complete labor of love, and hobby/side project aside, I absolutely love sharing all of my looks with all of you on here and Instagram as well. So cheers to 2014 (and all my favorite looks!) ...and here's to an even better 2015!

off duty
Sometimes, the last thing I want to do on my day off is get "dressed" - I just want to be completely off-duty, throw on some sneakers (AirMax 90s and Sky Hi Dunks are my favorite) and head out to run my errands. When that's the case, this is what I wear (or all black, obviously). Layering is key when I don't want to wear a jacket, too - so I doubled down on the button downs, threw on a vest, and skipped out the door.

earthy
It may be December, but the weather has been extremely balmy lately. Not that I'm complaining: it allows me to wear outfits like this. This is the same vest from this post, and I'm so glad I bought it because it's turning out to be one of those pieces that is already getting so much wear (and so many compliments!) Now if only the weather could stay this way until Spring...

festive
I love the holidays for many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is because I can wear sequins all I want and it's totally okay. Enter: these magical pants. During all the parties and holiday events, it's so easy to throw on a black dress, a red lip, and some fun heels and be out the door. But these pants are completely unexpected... paired with buffalo plaid and I'm practically screaming "I see you holiday season, and I raise you my sparkly pants!"

helmut
Helmut Lang sure knows how to make a girl feel sexy, which is probably why I gravitate towards their pieces all the time. This dress is no different: although a turtleneck, the way it drapes and hangs on the body makes it just as appropriate for work as it is for date night.
Vest: Velvet by Graham and Spencer | Dress: Helmut Lang | Boots: Stuart Weitzman (love these) | Clutch: J.Crew | Lips: Tom Ford "Violet Fatale"

white out
Sometimes, you get abnormally warm weather at the end of November - so you throw on some white jeans, your new cream vest, and go parading around like its August.

lady in red
Besides all black, my next favorite look to wear is all red. There's just something so striking about the color, especially once the weather gets cooler (and you just so happen to match the leaves). I made sure to keep all my accessories low-key (aka nonexistent) as to not distract from the color story. I added the color block coat from J.Crew that has a splash of red in it to keep it cohesive. Threw on some red shoes and a red bag, and viola!
